Super Geek Leader
Take on one of the most challenging and important roles of your work life. You will be the head geek in charge of all the technical areas of a growing startup. We've just finished our first profitable year and need you to help us take the business to a new level. The CEO is a software developer who has led development but now needs to focus on strategy and growing the business. Your new job will be to take over development, build a team and create easy-to-use beautiful web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Create awesome web applications that blow the socks off your geek comrades
- Build and manage a small team of talented hackers
- Pick up new technologies with lightning speed and help your team grow into super geeks like you!
- Make key decisions that impact the architecture and direction of our web based applications
- Work directly with clients to understand exactly what their needs are without having to go through middlemen
- Write excellent tested code using Ruby on Rails and various other open source technologies
- Optimize application performance and resolve memory leaks and scalability issues
- Solve the toughest problems other team members can't solve (you will be the resident super geek)
- Balance pragmatic solutions against perfect ones and understand the implication, cost and time frame of different implementation options
- Be the head geek at EasyBroker and take ultimate responsibility for the stability and success of our product from a tech perspective
Requirements:
- Knowledge of lean startup techniques and methodologies
- Experience working at or with web based startups
- Passion for building usable and beautiful products
- Experience managing developers and leading projects
- Belief that you can solve any tech problem thrown at you
